About Me
Nicole Revy is a relief printmaker and illustrator based in Dorset, England, creating lino and woodcut prints under the name Prints by the Bay. With a degree in Illustration from the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), Nicole brings a narrative-driven approach to her work, weaving together her artistic practice with a deep interest in storytelling, folklore, and the exploration of human experience.
When it all began
When lockdown hit in 2020 followed by a redundancy, I filled the long days at home with making prints (and posting my efforts on instagram)
What had started off as a part time creative side hustle suddenly blew up. When the restrictions lifted, I never went back to work and threw myself into making more artwork that resonated with other women like me. Women that are strong, resilient, often mothers, that find peace and tranquillity in the wild ruggedness of nature.
